SAN DIEGO, California - March 12, 2006 - On March 11th 2006, Africa Aid hosted Art Twogether, our inaugural art auction fundraising event that supported African and American artisans, with proceeds directly benefiting our foreign aid programs.

Art Twogether, held at UCSD and supported by UCSD's International House, featured quilts designed and crafted by collectives of African women in Buduburam. Africa Aid is proud to provide an expanded market for these African business startups and female community leaders who create original clothing, quilts, and art that are the result of innovative African microlending programs.
